Terms of Service

Rules for accounts, AI-generated content, credits, payments, and acceptable use of Comic Brief.

Last updated: 2026-07-11

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to Comic Brief. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use Comic Brief for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility And Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum age required in your country. If you are not old enough to enter a binding contract, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use. You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly report unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

The Service

Comic Brief provides AI-assisted tools for one-panel comics, four-panel stories, infographic comics, creative Agents, reusable characters, reference images, task history, and related workflows. Features, models, limits, and provider availability may change. We may modify or discontinue features, but will handle paid commitments in accordance with applicable law and the terms presented at purchase.

Credits, Subscriptions, And Payments

Generation and Agent actions may consume credits. The pricing page and checkout show the price, included credits, renewal interval, and applicable limits before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled unless stated otherwise. You can cancel future renewal from billing settings or through the applicable payment provider; cancellation does not normally reverse charges already incurred.

Taxes and currency conversion may apply. Failed payments may interrupt paid features. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred unless we expressly allow it, and may expire as disclosed when issued. Promotional credits may have separate limits. Refund requests are governed by our Refund Policy and mandatory consumer law.

Your Content

You retain the rights you hold in prompts, uploaded files, character references, and other content you submit ("User Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, and process User Content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and fulfill your requests.

You confirm that you have all rights and permissions needed for User Content. Do not submit content that violates privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, contract, or other rights. You are responsible for obtaining consent from identifiable people whose images or personal information you upload.

Generated Output

Subject to applicable law, your plan, and third-party provider terms, you may use generated output for personal or commercial purposes. AI output may be inaccurate, offensive, similar to other output, or not eligible for intellectual-property protection. We do not promise uniqueness or ownership. You must review output before publishing or relying on it and are responsible for how you use it.

Acceptable Use

You may not use Comic Brief to:

  • break the law or infringe another person's rights;
  • create or distribute sexual exploitation material involving minors;
  • impersonate, harass, threaten, defame, or deceptively manipulate people;
  • create malware, phishing, fraud, spam, or instructions intended to cause harm;
  • upload personal, confidential, or biometric information without authority;
  • bypass safety controls, credits, rate limits, authentication, or payment systems;
  • scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service;
  • resell or provide access to the service except under an expressly permitted plan; or
  • represent AI-generated content as verified fact where doing so could cause harm.

We may remove content, limit generation, or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to investigate or prevent violations.

Intellectual Property And Feedback

The service, software, interface, branding, documentation, and our original content belong to Comic Brief or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the service. If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

Third-Party Services

Comic Brief depends on third-party AI, payment, authentication, storage, email, analytics, and hosting services. Their terms may apply to your use of those features. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, but we will take reasonable steps to operate our integrations reliably.

Suspension And Termination

You may stop using Comic Brief at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when you materially violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, fail to pay, or repeatedly abuse the service. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Comic Brief is provided "as is" and "as available." AI generation can be delayed, unavailable, or produce unexpected results. We do not warrant that output is accurate, unique, non-infringing, suitable for a specific purpose, or continuously available. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Comic Brief and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities. Our total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Comic Brief during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

Indemnity

Where permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Comic Brief against third-party claims arising from your User Content, your use of generated output, or your material violation of these Terms or another person's rights.

Changes

We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, or security changes. We will post the revised Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice for material changes when required. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
